Newport is a city in Campbell County, Kentucky County, Kentucky, United States, at the confluence of the Ohio River and Licking River (Kentucky) Rivers. The population was 17,048 at the 2000 United States Census census. It is one of two county seats of Campbell County, Kentucky County.
